Never had a system like this before. This repair was quite simple. If you have a basic understanding of mechanical things don't shy away from this one.

The CS103EL is a diaphragm air pump (compressor). There are two opposing diaphragms that flex constantly 24/7. They are bound to wear out and rupture. They may last a year or two. When they rupture, no air is fed into the bio chamber of your septic system, and that’s a bad thing. One can either replace the air pump (> $400) or rebuild it yourself using this kit (< $100). This repair kit is not hard to install and saves a lot of money. I see it as a necessary item to have on the shelf so the next time the diaphragms fail, and they will, the system will not be down for long.

Very simple aerator rebuild-super fast shipping
Posted by Native Texan on 24th Apr 2015
For the second time in 12 years of operation, the aerator on my unit stopped working. The first time, I had no idea what had happened so I called the nearest repairman who was 40 miles away. By the time he had finished, I had a different model rebuilt aerator, a new diffuser and a bill for $600. While researching the system after the fact, I learned that rebuilding the system is very simple. This time around, I called Clearstream Systems, talked to a very knowledgeable customer service department, ordered the replacement parts and went on vacation. When I returned home, the parts had arrived. Within 10 minutes, I had installed the diffuser and rebuilt the aerator. When I turned on the power, the unit went to work. The total cost was just over $100 for the rebuild kit, diffuser and shipping. The process is so cheap and simple I am going to make the rebuild an annual event rather than lining a repairman's pocket with my hard earned $$'s. Thanks Clearstream.

This is a long story but the truth. I got the news no home owner wants to hear, you need to pay a service man money. The arobic system service guy told me your air pump needs to be repaired. He told me he can put in a rebuilt kit $400.00 system. What do I have stupid stamped on my head. So I did like anyone should do and told the crook to get off my property. I looked at the pump and wrote down the model number and got on line and bought a rebuild kit. Not knowing if I could do the repair myself or
not my in-laws gave me some tools last year. So sure I can do this. I got the repair kit for $100 in a couple of days and fixed it my self in about 20 min. I did view a video on youtube. But it was so simple anyone can repair their on pump EASY.

Glad I found the replacement parts. Nothing to replacing the parts. Just wish the parts were a tad cheaper. Last set only lasted 1 year, but it's easy enough to replace.
